CONDUCTING HOPE is a documentary film that tells the story of the inmates at Lansing Correctional Facility who make up the “East Hill Singers”, the only secular prison choir in the country allowed to perform outside prison walls. Through the power of music, can we reduce the nation’s shockingly high rate of recidivism by building inmates’ self-esteem and giving them hope? CONDUCTING HOPE premieres on KTWU on  Thursday, November 7, at 7 PM on Digital Channel 11.1. KTWU has distributed this program nationwide and it will air on PBS stations during the month of November.
