It’s been called the attack on America. The day that four airplanes, American Airlines Flight 11, United Airlines Flight 175, American Airlines Flight 77 and United Airlines Flight 93, were hi-jacked and crashed into American buildings on American soil.
In September on KTWU’s I’VE GOT ISSUES, we remember these tragic events that changed the lives of a nation.
When Terrorists Attack: Remembering 9/11 airs on Sunday, September 11, at 7 p.m. on KTWU-HD, Digital Channel 11.1. The program is hosted by Janet Thompson Jackson.
Several stories will be presented that bring local viewpoints to these epic events. We will hear from Kimberlee Grice-Setser, Miss Kansas, who was competing in the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City as the attacks took place.
Viewers will meet Greg Bailey to discuss the major roles “first responders” must take in such a time of crisis.
And author Roger Aeschliman, Topekan and Lt. Colonel in the Kansas Army National Guard, explains how we are all dealing with the aftermath of 9/11, ten years later.
