Commemorating Vietnam

IGI takes a look at how the Vietnam War was commemorated in Kansas. We will also take a look at the roll the media plays in shaping american attitudes about the war; will visit with a Vietnam Veteran and his family about his experiences and how this has impacted their lives; as well as a South Vietnamese Veteran about what commemoration means to him.

Featured guests include Scott Reinardy, Associate Professor and Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and Faculty Development at KU William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications; Sargeant Roland Mayhew and his wife, Rosie Mayhew, and their daughter, Amber Workman; Mike McDermott, Vietnam Veteran and Chairman of the Kansas State University 50th Anniversary Commemoration Committee and Ron Trewyn, Vietnam Veteran and member of the KSU Commemoration Committee.
