Return to Play – Return to School

KTWU’s I’VE GOT ISSUES turns to education and sports for the program in an opportunity to examine the risk of concussions associated with contact sports like football.

In addition to the sports injuries profile, the program showcases an innovative approach to professional development for high school students. Also featured is a discussion on the challenges facing our schools as seen through the eyes of a principal.

Guests include Dr. Barbara Semakula, director of the Sports Rehabilitation Service at the KU Medical Center; G.A. Buie, principal of Eudora High and resident-elect of the National Association of Secondary School Principals; and Donna Deeds, executive director of the Center for Advanced Professional Studies in Overland Park.

Janet Thompson Jackson hosts the IGI series.
