A visit with Meteorologist Chad Omitt from the Topeka NWS Forecast office explains about severe weather awareness and the different severe weather threats. Dave Sterbenz, Director of Shawnee Co. Emergency Management tells how to prepare for severe weather events. Storm chaser Darin Brunin describes “Storm Assist”, an organization started by storm chasers to raise money for storm damaged communities. Plus a special segment to update viewers on rebuilding and recovery efforts in Reading, Kansas, the town devastated by a tornado in 2011. Janet Thompson Jackson hosts the IGI series.
